Shortly after forming in 2004 and self-releasing their debut three-song EP, the band quickly earned some well-deserved attention in and around the Twin Cities, and became best known for their high energy live performances, which were always, and remain as consuming as they are intense.
These Curses, Marlah's long awaited full-length, takes the inventiveness of modern indie-rock and combines it with good old fasioned rock 'n' roll to create a dirty, yet artful sound that's both, harsh and interesting. The band reinvented themselves on this album, incorporating as much passion, creativity, and ambition into its creation as they could muster in order to produce their best possible work.
These Curses takes every listener on an exciting and sometimes violent journey through music and words, setting expectations ablaze. And with its release, Marlah hopes to launch something new and different in the Twin Cities music scene.

Too heavy for the local indie scene and not heavy enough for the hardcore scene, Marlah and its members have formed a comfortable niche somewhere in the middle, by mixing demanding and intricate guitar riffs with unique vocal styles over a heavy, yet grooving rhythm section.
